Elebash's is a fourth generation family business.

Elebash's can be traced back to early 20th century beginnings in Selma, Alabama, the birthplace of brothers Eugene P. and Le Grand S. Elebash. After completing apprenticeships, the brothers opened their own store, naming their new firm "Elebash Jewelry Company."

On April 1, 1919, Eugene and Le Grand purchased Lindenstruth Jewelers in downtown Pensacola and subsequently renamed the store "Elebash's". Within a few years, the family was operating several stores across the Southeast. Eugene moved to Pensacola to focus on overseeing the Pensacola location while his brother Le Grand assumed supervision of the Selma store.

The Pensacola location began to thrive as Elebash's became known for offering high quality jewelry and superior customer service. In 1940, Eugene purchased the growing Pensacola operation and left the remaining stores in the Southeast to Le Grand. At the same time Eugene welcomed his son, Eugene Jr., into the family business. Only six years later, the death of the elder Eugene left the business in the hands of Eugene Jr.

Elebash's continued to grow thanks to the continued patronage of loyal customers. The company began a long tradition of giving back to the Pensacola community by supporting various community groups including the Salvation Army and the Escambia County United Way as well as the University of West Florida. Eugene Jr. became active in civic affairs, serving two terms on the Pensacola City Council and two years as Mayor of Pensacola.

Elebash entered the firm after completing their education and training, marking a new generation of life for Elebash Jewelry Company. The third generation added a second store to better serve its customers and Elebash's opened in University Mall in August of 1974. In 1984, this second location was moved to Cordova Square to meet the growing needs of residents in Northeast Pensacola. In addition, in 1981, the downtown location moved from 19 South Palafox to a larger location across the street at 36 South Palafox.

Today's Elebash's continues under the stewardship of Eugene P. Elebash ("Gene") and William N. Elebash ("Bill"). Eugene Jr. officially retired in 1985 but continues to spend time each week at the company's downtown store. In 2005, Elebash's welcomed a fourth generation as Patrick N. Elebash began working for the family business.
